Exercise - Fitness

In conjunction to live healthier, I'm going back to exercise.
Yes, exercise!
I love dancing, so I'm going to do Zumba twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) from 8.45 - 9.45 am or 7:00 - 8:00 pm depending on my appointment schedules.
In addition to that,  I'm going back to do 3 days boot camp (Monday-Wednesday-Friday) which is from 5:30 - 6:30 am in Stoval Park. Yes it's outdoors. Still a little cold in the morning but I'm determined to do it.

So here is my weekly work out schedule:

Monday - upper body emphasis
Tuesday - Zumba
Wednesday - cardio and core CRAZE!
Thursday - Zumba
Friday - lower body emphasis

With exercise and eating well I'm sure the pounds will be shed (at least I'm hoping) because I'm doing it right.
Forget about dieting. Just eat well, go out there and exercise!
May the force of the exercise Goddess be with you!

Good place to hang out in Downtown Forth Worth

I love downtown Fort Worth. It's save and parking in free on the weekend and evenings. You can see police officers patrolling the area in horses or bicycle.
8.0 Restaurant and Bar is conveniently located in the heart of Sundance Square.
When the weather is good, you can sit in the patio and enjoy the people passing by or live music on the weekend. The food is not bad either.

Eating healthier in 2011 - day 6

I had to work all day and only have 1 hour to have lunch in between my appointments. I found Papaya Garden Thai Restaurant and decided to eat there.

Owns by Peter Chan, I would rate this restaurant 2 stars. It was okay. Not to bad and not good either. Service was slow. I ordered Pad Thai with tofu instead of shrimp, it was too sweet for my taste. Tom Yam Gong soup was okay. The menu was extensive and a bit confusing. All and all the food is not authentic, it’s a combination of Thai, Chinese and Japanese food.

Papaya Garden Restaurant

So, for day 6th, I had:
·         Breakfast:
-          A cup of carrot/ginger/apple juice
-          Toasted half bagel
-          Coffee+ 2% milk
·         Lunch:
-          1 cup of jasmine rice
-          1 cup of Tom Yam soup
-          1 cup of Pad Thai
·         Dinner:
-          1 cup of papaya salad
-          1 cup of Pad Thai
-          1 2 inches square brownie
I’m working on smaller portions and still trying to eat healthy.

Eating healthier in 2011 - Eat more fruits and Vegetables!

One of my New Year’s resolutions is living and eating healthier (well, to lose a few lbs as well haha).
I’ve been watching what I eat as far as eating healthier such as avoid deep fried food, choose low fat food, eat whole wheat bread, etc.

I love vegetables, so no problem there but I don’t eat enough fresh fruits. So mu solution is to drink fresh juice every day. So I bought Jack Lalane’s juicer at discounted price (it was on sale and additional 30% off, so proud of myself). This way, I can consume enough fresh fruits and veggies daily.

Today is the first day of my adding fresh juice to my diet. I will keep a journal here to see the progress.
So far for Breakfast and lunch I had:
1 large whole wheat toasted bagel with low butter
1 cup of coffee with 2 sweet and low and 2% milk
1 cup of juice :
-          1 cup of spinach
-          1 large apple
-          4 med strawberries
-          2 carrots
½ cup of toasted almonds
1 cup of fresh blueberries.

I feel good and satisfied as far as food and don’t feel hungry.
Stay tune for daily update!

A Unique Fort Worth, TX Restaurant

This restaurant is so unique.
From the look at the location, you probably thinking about nachos and hot dogs. But you'll be surprised to see Chef Fransen and his crew there! This is one of a kind restaurant you have got to visit.
You have to check out the menu and just go there.
Although everything in the menu is delicious, the bread pudding and blackened steak are my favorite.
PS: Better than Sex fried chicken is to die for!
